Rewind anything, from your keyboard.
One tap jumps back 15 seconds, in any app and on sites like YouTube. You never have to switch to the app that's playing.
Tap to rewind. Hold to change track.
A quick tap jumps 15 seconds back or 30 forward. Keep the key down for just over half a second and it goes to the previous or next track instead, the way the key always worked.
Spotify starts the other way round, so a tap still changes the song and holding rewinds. Podcasts rewind on a tap either way. You can set this for each app.

Any app, any site
A video in a browser tab, a podcast in Spotify, a course in the corner of your screen. If it reports to the system's media controls, the keys reach it.
Stays in the background
Nothing comes to the front. You keep typing, the video jumps back.
Your numbers
15 seconds back and 30 forward to start with. Change them for every app, or just one.
One click on the tray icon
Everything playing, in one place.
What's playing and what you paused a moment ago, each with its own controls. Click the artwork to go straight to that app or tab.
Something's playing in a tab, in some browser, and you can't find it? It's right here. Pause it, or jump to where it's playing.

Any speed.
From half speed to triple. Use the slider, or hold Ctrl/Cmd and scroll over a card.
Speed works in browser tabs, through the TabTab extension.
Two things playing? You pick.
The keys go to whatever started last. Music on, then a podcast, and they control the podcast. Want them on the music? Click its card.
- Paused:
- A plain card.
- Playing:
- Bars next to the title.
- Playing, and the keys act on it:
- Bars and a whiter card.
More powerful with the TabTab extension.
ProPro Media Controller works without it: the keys still rewind whatever your browser is playing. But a browser only tells the system about one tab, the one that played last. TabTab reports them all, in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers.
Without TabTab
- Google ChromeThe tab that played last
With TabTab
- How a mechanical watch worksChrome
- Learning to draw in 30 daysChrome
- Lo-fi for deep workChrome
- Intro to thermodynamics, lecture 3Chrome
What it adds here
- Every tab gets its own card
- Not just the one that played last. Keys, rules and controls work per tab.
- Straight to the right tab
- Click the artwork and that exact tab comes up, in whichever window it's in.
- Playback speed
- Half speed to triple, for anything playing in a tab.
And what it does on its own
- Find any tab
- Search what's open and what you saved. Ctrl+Shift+S brings it up.
- Keep windows for later
- Save a window or a whole session and reopen it later, or resume a session from another device.
- Let idle tabs sleep
- Tabs you aren't using get suspended, except on the sites you say never to.
- Share a window
- Turn a window's tabs into one link, as a page of links anyone can open.

It's free
Install it, and your media keys start seeking (rewinding podcasts, for example). It lives in the tray and stays out of your way.
